Where Every Word Counts.
Every Line Matters.
And Every Story Deserves To Be Heard.

It's time to see what your story can become.

Home: Welcome

Hey There!

I'm Maggie: writer, editor, lover of stories.

I have always had a passion for books and storytelling, so much so I founded Fine Line Editorial with the hope I would be able to help authors (like you!) tell the stories living in their hearts.

I hold a specialized Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Writing from Oglethorpe University and have dedicated the past five years to both creating and editing creative content.

My purpose is to help fellow writers tell their stories, and my hope is that you'll be next!

My Mission

My mission is to help authors affordably and profesionally polish and perfect their masterpieces before sending them out into the world. My aim is to offer constructive feedback, give suggestions where I see potential improvement, and most importantly, maintain your authorial voice. Ultimately, it is your words, your characters, and your story! I simply have the privilege of helping you along the way, whether your goal is to self or traditionally publish.

Ready to take your story to the next level?

Developmental
Editing

Congratulations on finishing your manuscript! That is such a huge accomplishment. Now it's time to really dig into your story and refine its key elements, such as plot and character development. Identifying issues like plot holes or confusing world building, an initial assessment of consistent tone and readability, and feedback on the overall content of your story is vital before moving forward with publication. Developmental Edit is typically the first round of edits that a manuscript goes through.

Line
Editing

Are you ready for the next step in the editing process? Now that you've got your plot, characters, and overall story locked in--it's time to get into the nitty gritty of manuscript evaluation . A Line Edit is a line-by-line review of your entire manuscript, where the focus is on the words being used to tell the story.  Assurance of consistent voice, point-of-view, and verb tense, as well as identification of redundancies, clichés, and instances of repetition, is a critical step in your manuscript's path to publication.

She was wonderful! I had a very long novel to get through and she gave me constant updates to her progress, while also commenting on her thoughts about the story. Thank you!
